One sunny morning, Benny the curious mouse stopped in front of a toy shop, his eyes wide at the sight of a dazzling blue bicycle.
“Bicycles? Bah, such nonsense,” grumbled Mr. Mouse. “Let’s focus on the grocery list.”
“But Dad, shopping’s so boring,” Benny mumbled.
“Not if you look closely,” his father replied with a wink.
At the fruit stand, Mr. Mouse grabbed carrots and apples, while Benny spotted the grocer tossing oranges and apples like a circus star. He nudged his dad, but Mr. Mouse just chuckled.
“Shopkeepers juggling? Silly idea.”
Next, they entered the dairy shop. Benny peeked behind the counter and gasped—Mrs. Cow was pirouetting in a tutu! “Dad, she’s dancing!”
“Cows have too much milk to worry about ballet,” Mr. Mouse muttered, barely looking up from the cheese shelf.
Finally, at the bakery, Benny’s jaw dropped. The baker was spinning fifteen donuts on his nose like a seal! Benny tugged at his dad’s sleeve again.
“Bakers don’t toss pastries, Benny,” Mr. Mouse said, shaking his head.
As they passed the toy shop once more, the owner stepped out with the blue bicycle in hand.
“Oh no! Someone bought it!” Benny cried.
“Indeed they did,” the shopkeeper grinned. “It belongs to you now!”
Benny turned to his dad, stunned. “Wait—you got it for me?”
“Who, me? I’m way too dull for fun things like bikes,” Mr. Mouse teased with a wink.
Benny beamed. “Tomorrow, I’m shopping with you again! It’s more magical than I thought!”
